MORRISTOWN, Tenn. – The Hamblen County Health Department announced today the upcoming Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program for 2023.
For the 20th consecutive year, adults aged 60 years and above who live in Hamblen County and meet income guidelines are eligible to receive vouchers to purchase Tennessee grown fruits and vegetables at the Morristown Farmer’s Market.
Applications for the program will be accepted at several locations including Senior Citizens Center, Central Services, and TN Valley Housing Services (Morristown Housing Authority). Individuals interested in applying should bring with them proof of total household income, proof of age, and proof of residency.
Participants will receive ten (10) $5.00 vouchers total that can be redeemed in July and August. For more information, contact the Hamblen County Health Department at 423-586-6431.
Completed applications and new applications will be accepted at the Morristown Farmer’s Market at 130 W. Morris Blvd, Morristown on the following dates:
Thursday, June 29 – 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Friday, June 30 – 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
After June 30, completed applications and new applications will be accepted at the Hamblen County Health Department at 331 W Main St, Morristown on the following dates:
Tuesdays & Thursdays in July & August from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
